Daydreamers @ Home & Garden Expo 2016

The Home and Garden Expo (commonly called The Expo) is both the largest and longest running event dedicated to home and garden in SL, and runs from the 14th February through the 6th March 2016.

The Expo features a wide variety of creators: From well known brands to up and coming designers, hobbyists and professional merchants participate side by side to raise money for Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL).

[Daydreamers] is at Home and Garden Expo 2016 this year located on the sim Hope 7 and they have several items available for purchase. I just love the pallet furniture and it is textured very well!


The Adult Pallet Sofa has 15 single animations, 22 cuddle animations, 13 friend animations and 18 adult animations.

The PG Swing Chair has 8 female and 8 male animations as well as 10 couple cuddles.

Chez Moi @ The RFL Home & Garden Expo 2016

The RFL Home and Garden Expo (commonly called The Expo) is both the largest and longest running event dedicated to home and garden in SL, and runs from the 14th February through the 6th March 2016.

The Expo features a wide variety of creators: From well known brands to up and coming designers, hobbyists and professional merchants participate side by side to raise money for Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL).

All Expo exhibitors are required to release two new 100% donation items at the Expo. These are exclusive to the Expo for the duration of the event, and all proceeds will be donated to RFL. This year's Expo will also include a massive gacha sale with 50% donation to RFL.

Chez Moi has some amazing things at The Expo this year and I am very excited to present them to you! You can find Chez Moi as well as some other wonderful designers on sim 7 at THE EXPO

One of Chez Moi's first exclusives is this Oh Deer Garden Bench. This bench includes both single and couples poses. With only 19 land impact, it contains 26 female and male single poses and 22 couples/love poses. There are also 4 Activity poses which includes poses for eating, drinking, reading or the phone. The second exclusive at The Expo, is this beautiful Watercolor Porch Bench. With only 13 land impact, it is full of animations. These animations include 27 single female, 27 single male, 18 couples/love poses and 4 delightful activities. These activities include reading a book, knitting, needlepoint and reading a magazine. The Expo will also have a hunt where you will be able to obtain the Peaceful Place Bird House. Many prizes will be available for the hunt so be sure to participate before The Expo is over.

Relay For Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and has been active, and continually growing in Second Life for 10 years. In 2005, the first Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL) was attended by a few hundred avatars and raised almost $5,000 US dollars for the American Cancer Society. As of July 2014 RFL of SL ranks number 17th out of 5000 teams world wide in donations received. We have brought in more than 2,5 million US dollars to help with the fight against cancer. This year our Relay weekend will be held on July 18th and 19th. Won’t you join us as we Relay in the largest party on the grid.

In My Part of the Woods.....

When I first bought the Hatake House from 22769 ~ [bauwerk], I couldn't wait to decorate it. I set up a platform for it, got the porch decorated and then stopped. One thing after another just kept getting in the way of decorating the little three room home.

It is rustic, quaint and beautifully done, it was me that needed more inspiration for the interior because I knew what the outside would look like the moment I purchased it. Then, I went to the August round of FaMESHed and saw the ONE piece that would then inspire me further to decorate this house.

The ONE piece that led me to further inspiration was the gorgeous kitchen/dining room table from Trompe Loeil. It is available currently at FaMESHed and comes with the 4 chairs and a bench seat. There is a HUD included that will allow you to change the napkins and the plates to match or not, customize them to your own personality. I chose to make all my plates and napkins non-match because it gave the room the rustic and country feel that I was looking for.

When you walk upstairs there are a few gacha items as well as a group gift that I received, as well as items that I have purchased from past events. Needless to say though, I am very please with how this house came together.

Such a shame now to tear it all down and start over with a new home to blog and furniture to fill it up. May just keep this one up for a while, who knows what I will do next in my part of the woods...lol.

Home & Garden Expo is coming to a close

Today is the last day for the Home & Garden Expo so if you haven't had the opportunity to visit any of the 9 sims, you better spend the day doing just that! 96 vendors over 9 sims, and a lot of items to see......one item, seen below, is the Dreaming Cottage and it comes exactly as you see it below. I have added nothing to this so that you can see what is included.

Yes, even the landscaping is included and it is all included in a dome shape with a foundation (similar to a snowglobe). Once you rez it you are good to go!

Two levels with a ladder to get you up and down, mirror, fireplace, wall art, books, etc .....all included.

No, that's not a sex swing......

Did that get your attention? (lol) Well, I have had several questions regarding one item in this blog post so I thought why not make my reply the title.

When I first saw all the items for bloggers that are available at the Home & Garden Expo, I was totally overwhelmed thinking to myself, "How am I going to blog on all these magnificent pieces?" I mean come on 96 designers on 9 sims, all focused on homes and home decor!! That's is a LOT to take in. However, as I unpacked and arranged and saw the pieces, I became more relaxed and actually inspired!

This is just one post so far, so stay tuned for more....and I had over 10 photos for this blog post but decided to only put 6 here. The rest of the photos are posted on my FLICKR so  that this post isn't overwhelmed.

The first set of photos that I took are from the outside of the home focusing on the outdoor items that you can find at the Expo. I was also playing around with windlight settings and for this set I used the Jax Muted Sunset and the Jax Pretty Sunset.

Here is the area that I made for the bedroom, this home is kind of sectioned off into three portions. So, I decided to make it the living room, bedroom and an office. I love all the windows and the simplicity of design. If you look really close you will see the gorgeous details on the walls at the bottom.

For the next couple of weeks, I will be posting several items and setups from the Home & Garden Expo, like the setup below.

This set is from Apple Fall and I happen to love the way this is set up....from the seamstress mannequins in the corner to the hanging lamps in the bedroom display. Not to mention the house that holds it all! When I first arrived at this display, it as love at first site for the house and YES! it is for sale at a wonderful price!

The vintage tea room is straight out from a home decor magazine, and the quality of the items just takes my breath away. You can find several items for sale at the H&G Expo, but there are also items that benefit Relay for Life, so be sure to head over and visit ALL the wonderful merchants (96!!!) on all of the NINE sims.
